DAY 2 - "KAI" Progressive Art Show - "Naming The Paintings"

"KAI"

NAMING THE PAINTINGS

It is only day 3 of the 60 day painting session and Patrick Ching
has released names for each of the paintings for the KAI show.
Check out the new names and descriptions!

Only 4 days to go before the auction begins.....

(1)

"CORAL TWIST"

Clear ocean water twists the colors of a Hawaiian reef.
The vague shapes of starfish and sea urchins,
add life to the scene as light dances upon the surface.

 (2)

  "KONA KAI"

The colors of coral and stone in calm water makes me think of a
cool blue cocktail on the rocks. Wonderfully simple yet full of surprises.

(3)

"AQUA SHOALS"

Over the atolls of the archipelago, my favorite colors emerge from the sea.
Aqua and turquoise fade into the blue as fingers of reef reach into the deep.

(4)

 "NALU WAI"

Blues from above and ocres below are welcomed together by Kai’s ebb and flow.
This fresh aqua green is blessed by the sky with purples and violets that pleases an eye.

 (5)

 "MONK SEAL MOSAIC"

Mottled in diamonds of crackling light shadows fade blue and then back into bright.
‘lio kai, the dog of the sea, glides weightless, buoyant and effortlessly.

(6)

 "RAINBOW REEF"

A crown of living reef emerges from the depths of purples and blues,
rising into the green, yellows and rustic reds in a rainbow of hues.

 (7)

"THE POOL"

The day I came to love sharks. Circling gracefully they followed me home.
It was nice of them to share their pool with me.

 (8)

"HELE MANO"

Beneath the pool, a curtain of sharks, mano, cruise past, fading into the deep greens and blues of a remote tropical lagoon. Beauty in triangles, they swim to music in my mind.

 (9)

 "HONU KAI"

Some cultures say that, "The world rests on the back of a turtle."
Honu, the turtle of the sea, pushes through the ripples of an emerald lagoon
with the weight of the world behind it.

 (10)

 "SAND BAR BLUES"

A sea of modern art employs an ever-changing  bar of  vanishing, reappearing sand.
Disc shaped reefs ad compositional balance to this refreshing aquatic canvas.
